You don't need to be a parent or have prior Scouting experience - just enthusiasm and a willingness to join in.
Not everyone can volunteer every week – and that’s fine. Many of our adults start as Occasional Helpers, supporting a session or camp when they can.
Below is what that usually looks like.

Volunteering Through Creativity: Photography Badge Sessions
A volunteer planned and led a two-part photography workshop to help Scouts earn their Photography Badge. In the first session, they introduced basic photography concepts and cyanotype printing, asked Scouts to collect and bring in different leaves to use as subjects. For the follow-up session, they worked with parents to source simple digital cameras and approve the use of smartphones, then guided Scouts in using digital cameras creatively, building on their cyanotype work. The activity combined hands-on art, digital skills, and clear communication with families to give young people a fun, structured way to achieve a badge.
